Navigating the complex landscape of funding pressures and commissioning environments presents an ongoing challenge for our members. It remains a key area of focus for us. That's why we've established this hub as a centralised and comprehensive resource designed to support our members in addressing these challenges effectively.
The funding pressures and commissioning environment is ever challenging and a key focus for our members. Therefore, we offered opportunities for members to connect, develop new tactics, hone influencing skills and plan how best to successfully approach negotiations with commissioners at the earliest opportunity.
VODG seeks to inform policy making, systems design and best practice, to improve the environment within which members operate in support of disabled people of all ages living the lives they choose.
Alongside our influencing activity we amplify the work of our members and stakeholders, and are actively involved in various coalitions and campaigns championing positive change.
Reflecting the experience and priorities of our members, our eight overarching policy asks call for a reframing of funding, workforce, commissioning, housing and most importantly the involvement and leadership of disabled people, families and VCSE organisations in the delivery of support. Ensuring there is full funding for the VCSE provided support disabled people need, is at the heart of our PR and policy activity.
Alongside our external affairs activity and established professional networks, we run a series of bespoke workshops and webinars for Chief Executives and Senior Managers that harness the expertise of specialist trainers in an innovative way, on the topics that matter most to our members.
Our series of events on fees, funding and commissioning enable our members to share intelligence, try something new and learn together as they create their own approaches to contract discussions.
