New STOMP card game launched to prompt conversations about over-medication
A new card game has been launched by VODG as part of cross-sector work to support the national STOMP (stopping over medication of people with a learning disability, autism or both) campaign.
The primary purpose of the game is to prompt conversations between people with learning disabilities, autism or both and their support staff about psychotropic medication. It can also be used to raise staff awareness about good practice in tackling over-medication. The game has been designed by VODG and is funded through our partnership with NHS England.
The first distribution is free of charge and priority is being given to social care providers who have signed up to the STOMP pledge and submitted a STOMP action plan. Games will be distributed on a ‘first come’ basis. Social care organisations can place an order by completing this form.Find out more about the STOMP campaign for social care providers.
