VODG Peer Group for Chief Executives

The purpose of this member-led CEO peer group is to provide a confidential and supportive environment for member CEOs to share insights, experiences, challenges, and best practices with their peers.

We are delighted to invite members to the inaugural VODG Chief Executive* Peer Group, taking place in Sense offices in London on Wednesday 4 December, from 10.00 - 13.00.

The purpose of this member-led CEO peer group is to provide a confidential and supportive environment for member CEOs to share insights, experiences, challenges, and best practices with their peers. These groups offer a platform for CEOs to discuss business strategies, leadership issues, and personal development in a trusted setting. By engaging with other CEOs who face similar responsibilities, members can gain valuable perspectives and advice to help them make better decisions and drive their organisations forward.

Background

Following successful earlier exploratory meetings, we are pleased to announce that we are establishing this as a VODG special interest group.

Format

  1. The session will be overseen by a member of the group other than the problem owner (the presenter).

  2. Group members may ask clarifying questions but are not permitted to discuss solutions. Following the questioning phase, group members may propose an alternative framing of the issue to the presenter.

  3. The presenter has the discretion to accept an alternative frame or adhere to the original definition.

Subsequently, all group members are encouraged to provide suggestions on the issue. This initial stage aims to structure the issue, aiding the presenter in comprehending it as a problem to be solved, a decision to be made, or a plan to be developed. Group input offers a diverse range of opinions and experiences, facilitating the identification of blind spots and contributing to the formulation of better strategic decisions.
