Only open to members who contributed to the executive pay and rewards benchmarking, this event will present the report results and allow for discussion.
Join us for an exclusive online member CEO* group discussion, where we will explore the results of the executive pay and rewards benchmarking output in greater detail (output to be launched in October 2024). This is an excellent opportunity to learn from others' experiences, share your insights, and gain a better understanding of best practices in this area.
On 16 May, VODG organised a CEO Breakfast meeting that delved into the intricacies of executive pay and rewards. This informative session, supported by Jo Land, Chief Executive of Avenues, covered various important aspects. The presentation and meeting notes are available here for those who couldn't attend.
An interesting topic that gained support during the meeting was conducting an anonymous benchmarking exercise. The consensus was to have VODG oversee the coordination of this exercise and share anonymous data with Avenues Group for further analysis. Members were encouraged to contribute to the proposed benchmarking variables.
To facilitate this process, VODG developed a data collection form based on the benchmarking scope. This form underwent rigorous testing by several member organisations to ensure that it fulfilled all the necessary requirements before being finalised and shared with members for completion.
The deadline for submitting feedback is 31 August 2024. As a reminder, members must complete the form to receive the output. If you haven't already received an invite to take part, please email us, and we'll send you a link.
You can view more background information via the CEO Resource Hub.
Please note that should you have any accessibility requirements, we will do our best to make necessary arrangements to support you; however, we may require up to four weeks' notice, so please list your requirements on the booking form. Closed captions are used as a standard in online meetings. If you have any questions, please email [email protected].
*Please note that this event is exclusive to member Chief Executives. We are unable to accept substitutes.
Chief Executive, Avenues
Jo began her career as an HR professional in the private sector, before seeking a role where values are acknowledged as more important than driving profit. Having moved to the voluntary sector over twenty years ago, she is now an experienced senior leader in social care.
Jo cares passionately about the sector and believes that, collectively, we can achieve great things for the people we support and their families, the people we employ and for the wider communities in which we operate, and that, as providers, our reach and influence is underestimated.
As a member of the VODG board Jo will contribute to raising the profile of the sector and influencing policy, research and decision making at all levels, along with providing support to others to share knowledge, intelligence and experience.
Jo is Chief Executive of Avenues Group, a specialist provider of support services to people with learning disabilities, autism and acquired brain injury. She also sits as a Non-Legal Member of the Employment Tribunal service.
