Channelling Your Readiness into Genuine Sustainability Efforts

During this empowering session, members will be guided through various approaches to sustainability reporting. We will clarify the jargon surrounding ESG to ensure that organisations are clear, authentic, and accurate in their sustainability targets and communications.

We understand that many of our members are committed to sustainability and take meaningful actions. However, navigating the complexities of Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) frameworks and avoiding the pitfalls of greenwashing* can be challenging.

Given the increasing supply chain demands and reporting regulations impacting UK organisations, we understand the importance of our members starting or continuing their ESG journeys with the knowledge and understanding to be well-prepared.

During this engaging session, VODG's trusted corporate partner, MHA, will demonstrate how well-informed environmental reporting can empower members to avoid greenwashing* and greenwishing*. Instead, we will guide members towards areas of their organisation that will result in tangible, real-world environmental and organisational benefits.

*Green PR, a sub-field of public relations, is the practice of communicating an organisation's corporate social responsibility or environmentally friendly practices to the public. Understanding and implementing Green PR strategies can significantly enhance an organisation's sustainability efforts.
*Greenwashed products might convey that they're more natural, wholesome, or chemical-free than competing brands. Companies have engaged in greenwashing via press releases and commercials touting their clean energy or pollution reduction efforts.
*Greenwishing is the concept of 'wishing' for the world to transition to more sustainable practices in line with green living. While having a vision for a greener future is important, it's equally important to take concrete actions to make that vision a reality.
